ABOUT ME

My name is Clayton Sargent, and I've been an actively performing musician for the last twelve years. I specialize in drumming specifically but I have ability with the majority of other common instruments. I most notably have performed with the bands mOcean and Wild Truth for the near entirety of my career. I spent the majority of my time playing in the Virginia Beach area, but have since moved to Richmond, Virginia. Moving to Richmond has allowed me opportunities to network with amazing and emerging musicians from outside and near the area. I have been doing session work on and off since moving here with various musicians of different genres. I have since made the commute from Richmond to VA Beach on weekends, to perform with mOcean. As far as experience goes, I have accumulated quite the resume over the years. I have performed at some amazing venues and events, including: The NorVa, Vans Warped Tour (Virginia Beach), Neptune Festival, etc. I have also had the pleasure of opening for acts such as: Third Eye Blind, Eve 6, Flock of Seagulls, Fuel, and more. Aside from music I am an avid sports fan... "Go Boston." My family and I are from Massachusetts originally, so my passion for New England sports runs deep, as well as my love of the food up there! In the coming years my goals are to make music my full time responsibility, and I hope in creating this page, I will allow myself the privilege of doing so by networking with other aspiring artists. I look forward to the years to come and hope I can make as much noise as possible.
